Centre for Alternative Technology

Centre for Alternative Technology

In December 2012, Lightgeist Media was asked to document a visit to the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales. We exclusively interviewed the development director Paul Allen as well as Richard Hawkins, director of PIRC.

The film is a video documentation of the efforts made by the University of the Arts London to strengthen its ties to the Centre and to plan how to communicate their Zero Carbon Britain 2030 policy.

Artists Portrait Series

Artists Portrait Series

Lightgeist is proud to present Patrick Hoelscher’s Artists Portrait Series. This ongoing project explores the lives of young artists and their individual practices.

Urvashi Singh is a final year BA Fine Art student at Chelsea College of Art. One of her ongoing projects is based around the concept of traveling; Urvashi takes her work on a journey through the public space, engaging with passer-byes.

On one particular occasion this process had to be sped up as the piece of work, in this case a large-scale painting, had to be delivered to the BP National Portrait Gallery award in time…
